In October 2024, Jinja hosted the inaugural International Youth Festival, a vibrant celebration of youth culture that prominently featured fashion. Organized by the International University of East Africa in collaboration with Rosatom and Alliance BRICS, the festival took place at the Across the Nile Resort and attracted students from across Uganda and international delegations. A significant highlight was the cultural fashion showcase, where participants donned traditional attire representing various cultures, including Burundi’s stunning traditional wear.
