Uganda’s cocoa industry has experienced a significant boost, with export earnings reaching $68.7 million (approximately UGX 254 billion) in February 2025. This marks a 42% increase in cumulative revenue for the 2024–2025 period, according to the Bank of Uganda. The surge is attributed to rising global demand and improved production practices, positioning cocoa as a key contributor to Uganda’s export economy.
