The Government has highlighted the potential impact of recently signed trade agreements between Uganda and China, emphasizing that they will play a crucial role in addressing trade imbalances between the two nations.
During the 9th Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), held in Beijing from September 2-8, 2024, Uganda, represented by the Minister of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) signed two key protocols with the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC). These agreements mark a significant step towards expanding Uganda’s agricultural exports into the vast Chinese market.
